Coverage and duration
Every GOAT product includes a one-calendar-year limited manufacturing-defect warranty from the original purchase invoice date, when used normally and in accordance with the product instructions. Coverage ends the day before the purchase-date anniversary; a February 29 anniversary is clamped to February 28 before subtracting one day. For example, a 5 October 2026 purchase is covered through 4 October 2027. This voluntary warranty supplements applicable consumer rights; it does not replace them.
Keep your invoice or other verifiable purchase evidence. An order record, seller confirmation or other reliable evidence may help establish the purchase date where an invoice is unavailable. We will explain any additional verification needed rather than reject a genuine request solely because one document is missing.
Product registration and GUPI
Registering your GOAT helps keep product and coverage records together in your customer account. GUPI is the product-identification code used by the connected registration service. Where enabled, that service may verify your mobile number by OTP and confirm the GUPI before issuing a registration ID.
Registration does not extend the original warranty period. A public GUPI match confirms a record, not ownership or the physical authenticity of a particular item. An already-registered code should be referred to support if you did not register it. Failure to register does not remove non-excludable rights or prevent assessment supported by valid purchase evidence.
Start with GOAT support
Submit a warranty request with your model, colour, purchase date, seller, invoice/order reference and a description of the fault. Include the GUPI or serial number if available. Support may request relevant photographs or safe troubleshooting. Never send passwords, login OTPs, payment PINs or unrelated identity documents.
Keep your service reference. Wait for the confirmed service address and instructions before sending the product. An online request is not an automatic repair appointment, pickup booking or approval.
Carry-in service and transportation
This is a carry-in warranty; on-site service is not included. After verification, you can send the product to the confirmed GOAT service location or request team-arranged pickup, subject to serviceability.
For ordinary warranty service, the customer pays transportation both ways, including an approved team-arranged pickup. GOAT must disclose the proposed charges and obtain agreement before arranging a chargeable service. These terms do not transfer the cost of correcting a verified GOAT delivery error to you or override a remedy required by law.
Inspection and remedies
GOAT assesses whether the reported issue is a manufacturing defect. For covered faults, GOAT will repair or replace the affected product or component without a repair charge. We will explain the inspection outcome and proposed remedy. If repair or replacement is not reasonably available, an appropriate alternative will be considered in accordance with applicable law.
We will communicate the expected service time after assessment and explain material delays. A replacement should have equivalent functionality; any materially different model or specification must be discussed with you. Warranty coverage normally continues for the remainder of the original period unless a longer period is required by law or confirmed in writing.
Exclusions from the voluntary warranty
The limited warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, crushing, misuse, neglect, unsuitable charging equipment, unauthorised modification or repair, or use contrary to product instructions. Liquid ingress or corrosion beyond a product’s expressly stated resistance rating is excluded.
Normal cosmetic wear, scratches and gradual battery-capacity reduction through ordinary use are not manufacturing faults. A battery manufacturing defect remains eligible for assessment. Loss, theft and items missing after completed delivery are not covered by this warranty.
An exclusion applies to the damage attributable to that cause, not automatically to an unrelated manufacturing defect. Altered identification may require further verification; genuine statutory claims remain assessable.
Battery safety and preparing a return
Stop using or charging a product that swells, overheats abnormally, leaks or is visibly damaged. Contact support for safe handling and transport instructions; do not post a damaged lithium battery without carrier approval.
Clean the product gently, remove personal accessories and pack the requested earbuds, case and relevant accessories securely. Record the package contents and keep courier tracking. Do not include unrelated valuables. Follow the service instructions for any pairing/reset steps.
Paid and out-of-warranty work
After warranty expiry, or where the cause is excluded, diagnosis or repair may be offered subject to parts and service availability. Any inspection, parts, labour or transport charge must be disclosed and approved before paid work begins. If you decline the quotation, support will explain return options and any previously agreed charge. Submitting a form alone never authorises paid repairs.
Retailers and service records
For purchases through another retailer or marketplace, keep that seller’s invoice and follow its return process for seller-specific delivery issues. You may contact GOAT for eligible product-warranty assessment. Product records in your account are a convenient reference; the verified purchase date and applicable terms determine coverage.
Escalation and complaints
If an assessment is unclear, ask for the reason and supporting findings using your service reference. You can escalate through the grievance contact in the business details below. GOAT’s consumer grievance standard is acknowledgment within 48 hours and redress within one month of receipt. This is a complaint-handling standard, not a promise that every physical repair finishes within that period.
Policy changes and your rights
Changes apply prospectively and do not reduce a warranty or statutory remedy already applicable to a purchase. Keep a copy of the terms supplied at purchase. GOAT does not exclude liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Customer confidentiality and lawful disclosure
GOAT does not sell, rent or voluntarily give private customer records to unrelated third parties. The public GUPI check has a specific, limited display: for an already-registered code, the registered customer’s masked name and purchase date may be shown. It does not display a full name, phone number, email, address, invoice or private dashboard record. Necessary account/service processing and a customer’s verified access request are handled under the GOAT Privacy Policy. Government or legal disclosure requires a verified court order or another binding legal obligation, and is limited to the authorised recipient and the customer information lawfully required.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Indian law. Subject to mandatory law, courts of competent jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over contractual disputes. This does not restrict your right to approach a competent consumer commission, data-protection authority or other statutory forum, including a forum available where you reside or work, where the law permits. No provision waives a non-excludable consumer right.
